Happy Friday friends! I am super excited to share my Friday favorites with you guys this week because it is for older kiddos! I share so much for babies and toddlers, and today it is for slightly older kids. My 1st grader has been learning how to read from Kinder and on through this year. In his downtime he always wants to play video games. In search for a different option, I stumbled upon this! This hand held game is for children 5yrs old – 9yrs old. It has three different levels and allows children to form 3, 4, or 5 letter words. The best part is it can fit in the palm of your hand and is under $15! Check it out HERE
It’s no secret, I love a good diaper bag. I was asked recently what my favorite diaper bag is of all time, and I struggled to find an answer. Truth is, I change my bag out frequently (I’m a self proclaimed bag addict). I love to change it up and right now I’m loving the Old English leather from Lily Jade.
One of my favorite styles from them is the Meggan Bag! This bag is on the larger size, and I love to use it to hold all the snacks, diapers, and even a baby carrier if need be! Every Lily Jade bag comes with a removable 12 pocket organizer which is awesome. I tend to pouch pack (which basically means to organize all of your belongings in pouches!) I feel super organized that way! Be sure to check out the Lily Jade Meggan bag, she’s available in some gorgeous fall colors like brandy and camel! Here is a video have how I have it all packed up :
It’s friYay! We made it to the weekend! It is time for this week’s Friday Favorite! Today I am sharing Vooks with you guys. Vooks is a streaming service that animates and narrates your kiddos favorite books! We love Vooks because guided reading is so good for children learning to read. My 1st grader sees lots of titles on Vooks that he reads at school, it is so fun! If you are looking for a guilt-free screen activity, this is for you!

I don’t know about you, but mornings are a bit hectic at our house. I find that if I can prepare breakfast for myself or my kiddos the night before it makes the next morning so much easier! One of my go-to quick, and HEALTHY breakfast idea is Chia seed pudding! It is delicious and so good for you! Chia seeds pack a huge punch with calcium, magnesium, iron, omega-3 fatty acids, and more. This pudding comes together in 3-5 hours in the fridge, but I typically make it at night and it’s ready for me in the morning! Anywho .. Here is how to make it!
For a single serving:
1/2 C Milk (Oat milk, almond, coconut, you choose!)
4-5 Tbs of Chia seeds
1 squeeze of local honey
Combine Chia Seeds and Milk and refrigerate for 3-5 hours or overnight. After that, mix in all toppings and honey for some sweetness!
I love using a mason jar to make mine with these reusable lids! Also, I love adding strawberries, shredded coconut, and even ground flaxseed. Experimenting with different toppings is fun and my kids like them too! So, you can’t beat a healthy, tasty breakfast that requires zero effort in the morning! Have you tried Chia seed pudding before? If so, what’s your favorite topping combo? Let me know below!
